Dear WhiteEyebrows Readers,
Today’s post is to extol and expound my love for something that I use every day.
The Macintosh trash can.
Yesterday night, I was doing some housekeeping on my home Mac and after deleting a grundle of stuff, I decided to open my trash can to see what was in there.
I had 28,000 items.
I pushed the button to empty my trash “securely,” meaning that the head of the disk goes over the data and scrambles it. I started the operation last night at midnight and now, 12 hours later, it is about 2/3 of the way through the operation.
I guess I should take out the trash more often.
Thankfully, this trash can never overflows on you like the regular trash can does. I forgot to take my regular trash can out to the curb for 3 weeks in a row. By doing that, I finally filled it up completely! (I don’t generate much garbage)
At least the Mac trash never overflows, never stinks, never produces fruit flies, and doesn’t need to be taken out for years!
You are so green. Al Gore would be proud.
Crazy uncle albie? He loves me. We’re best friends.
Of course. You sent him a wedding invitation didn’t you?
