Those who really know me might know that I’m a tight wad. On the exterior, yes, I seem like a pretty cool cat when it comes to money, but deep down nothing makes me more gleefully giggle with joy than money miser’d away in the bank. When in Rome…
We drove 981 miles from Dallas to Denver over the Thanksgiving holiday. I drove all of it, which means I am now intimately too familiar with every mile of road between here and the mile-high city. Please allow me to share some of my findings:

The last two weeks have been a rude awakening for me and my wife to the potential pitfalls of future parenting.
The Box and the Sand
Here is a question for you: in a sandbox, which is more important, the Box or the Sand?
Are they equally important? Or does the box become more important because, without it, the sand would not stay put? Or are neither important, and the children who play in the sand of the most importance?
My own conclusion was: they are an ecosystem. They rely and depend on each other, and none are as individually important as they are all together.
