Last night was disappointing on SO many levels! First of all, a storm came through and totally knocked out my reception for the first several performances, so I’ve had to just piece them together from what I can find on the internet.
Also, I am only 10 days away from getting married, so I’m totally distracted right now from being my usual, maniacal, bitter, angry, insulting self.
That being said… here’s what I have come up with:
Kansas City was surprising tonight. And a bit shocking!
Kara busted out in a British accent, Paula made sense for once, and Randy was just phoning it in as usual. But the most shocking part was that a lot of people went through for the wrong reasons tonight….Very weird.
Simon? Where were you today to keep the quality control up?
Tonight’s premiere was a great way to start the season. In fact, I will say very little at this stage, and let the images and video speak for itself! … but first…

I’ve never played on a football team, but I remember hearing once about about “two-a-days”, where the team would practice twice a day and put in some long, grueling hours. Well, we are into two-a-days with American Idol blogs..
Last year I made no bones about the fact that I thought Idol Gives Back was the most ill-conceived farce to hit the small screen in recent memory. This year they have been even less specific about what Idol Gives Back is going to be.
I suppose since they considered last year such a “success” they figure they don’t need to even announce what the unspecific, fake cause is this year. They are just going to let everyone bleed out money they can’t afford for absolutely no reason. Should I be concerned again? Yes.
Will I still be watching? *sigh* … Of course.
